Terms & Conditions

Effective Date:August 18, 2026

Last Updated:August 18, 2026

Welcome to Bad Business Reviews ("BBR," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bad Business Reviews website, applications, services, business listings, reviews, business profiles, and other features or services made available by BBR (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, submitting a review, claiming or managing a business profile, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

1. About BBR

Bad Business Reviews is a business discovery, directory, and review platform.

BBR allows users to discover and research businesses, access business information, read customer reviews, submit reviews and other content, and interact with features made available through the Platform.

Businesses may also be able to claim eligible business profiles, provide or update business information, respond to reviews, upload content, manage services, and use additional business-related features.

A business appearing on BBR does not necessarily mean that the business created, claimed, approved, sponsored, or endorsed its listing.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Platform.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use BBR only where permitted by applicable law and with any consent required from a parent or legal guardian.

When you use BBR on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. User Accounts

Some features of BBR may require you to create an account.

When creating or maintaining an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information.
  • Keep your account information updated.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Not share your account with unauthorized persons.
  • Notify BBR if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

You may not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, or create an account for deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.

BBR may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risks for the Platform, its users, businesses, or third parties.

4. Business Listings

Businesses may appear on BBR from various legitimate sources.

A business listing may be created or populated from information provided by:

  • Business owners or authorized representatives.
  • BBR administrators or researchers.
  • Users or members of the public.
  • Publicly available sources.
  • Licensed or authorized third-party data sources.
  • Other lawful sources.

The presence of a business listing does not mean that BBR has independently verified every piece of information associated with that business.

We may update, organize, correct, supplement, merge, or remove business information when appropriate.

5. Claiming a Business Profile

Eligible businesses may be permitted to claim their business profile.

To claim a profile, you may be required to provide information reasonably necessary for BBR to verify that you are an owner, employee, authorized representative, or otherwise authorized to manage the business profile.

BBR may request additional documentation or verification.

Submitting a claim does not guarantee approval.

BBR may:

  • Approve a claim.
  • Reject a claim.
  • Request additional verification.
  • Revoke previously granted management access.
  • Resolve competing ownership or management claims.
  • Suspend profile-management privileges where misuse is suspected.

By claiming a business profile, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that business.

Claiming a profile does not give a business ownership of user reviews, ratings, community contributions, or other content submitted independently by users.

6. Business Information

Business owners and authorized representatives are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is accurate and not misleading.

Business information may include, where available:

  • Business name.
  • Description.
  • Address.
  • Service area.
  • Phone number.
  • Website.
  • Opening hours.
  • Categories.
  • Services.
  • Images and media.
  • Social media links.
  • Pricing or service information.
  • Other relevant business details.

You may not knowingly submit false, deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading business information.

BBR may modify or remove information that appears inaccurate, duplicative, misleading, outdated, unlawful, or inconsistent with our policies.

7. User Reviews

BBR allows eligible users to submit reviews regarding their experiences with businesses.

By submitting a review, you represent that the review reflects your genuine experience, opinion, or interaction and that the information you provide is truthful to the best of your knowledge.

Reviews should focus on relevant experiences with the business being reviewed.

You remain responsible for the content you submit.

BBR does not require reviews to be positive or negative.

A review may describe a positive, negative, mixed, or neutral experience.

8. Review Integrity

BBR is intended to provide useful and authentic information.

You may not submit, arrange, purchase, sell, request, encourage, or manipulate reviews in a deceptive manner.

Prohibited review practices include, but are not limited to:

  • Submitting fake reviews.
  • Reviewing a business when the claimed experience did not occur.
  • Creating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings.
  • Coordinating review attacks against a business.
  • Coordinating artificial positive-review campaigns.
  • Buying or selling fake reviews.
  • Using bots, scripts, automated accounts, or similar systems to manipulate reviews or ratings.
  • Impersonating a customer, employee, competitor, or another person.
  • Submitting reviews primarily to harass, threaten, intimidate, or extort.
  • Offering or accepting compensation where the arrangement improperly requires a particular positive or negative opinion.
  • Concealing a material relationship with a business when disclosure is required.
  • Manipulating BBR's rating or reputation systems.
  • Attempting to artificially increase or decrease another business's reputation.

BBR may investigate suspected review manipulation and take appropriate action.

10. Incentivized Reviews

Businesses must not improperly purchase or manipulate customer sentiment through incentives.

Where incentives for reviews are permitted by applicable law and BBR policies, they must not be conditioned upon the reviewer providing a particular rating, sentiment, or favorable opinion unless expressly permitted by applicable law.

Any required disclosures regarding incentives or relationships must be made clearly.

BBR may restrict or prohibit incentivized review programs at its discretion.

11. Negative Reviews

Businesses may not demand removal of a review merely because the review is unfavorable.

A negative opinion, by itself, is not a violation of these Terms.

Businesses may report reviews they reasonably believe violate BBR policies, contain prohibited content, relate to the wrong business, constitute manipulation, or otherwise violate applicable law.

BBR may evaluate reported content according to its moderation policies and available information.

Reporting a review does not guarantee removal.

12. Business Responses to Reviews

Claimed or authorized businesses may be allowed to publicly respond to reviews.

Business responses must comply with the same standards that apply to other user content.

Businesses should respond professionally and must not use responses to:

  • Threaten or harass reviewers.
  • Publish unnecessary sensitive personal information.
  • Retaliate against reviewers.
  • Make unlawful threats.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Manipulate ratings.
  • Publish prohibited content.
  • Attempt to intimidate users into withdrawing legitimate reviews.

Business responses may be moderated, restricted, or removed where appropriate.

13. Review Disputes

A business may disagree with statements made in a review.

BBR is not a court, arbitrator, investigative authority, or fact-finding tribunal and generally cannot determine every factual dispute between a reviewer and a business.

Where appropriate, BBR may consider:

  • Information submitted by the reviewer.
  • Information submitted by the business.
  • Evidence relating to the transaction or experience.
  • Platform activity.
  • Indicators of fraudulent behavior.
  • Applicable content policies.
  • Applicable legal requirements.

BBR may retain, restrict, edit where appropriate, label, temporarily hide, or remove disputed content depending on the circumstances.

14. Prohibited Content

You may not submit or distribute content through BBR that:

  • Is unlawful.
  • Is fraudulent or intentionally deceptive.
  • Contains credible threats of violence.
  • Promotes criminal activity.
  • Harasses or targets individuals in violation of applicable law or BBR policies.
  • Contains unnecessary private or sensitive personal information.
  • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights.
  • Contains malware, malicious code, or harmful software.
  • Constitutes spam or unauthorized advertising.
  • Impersonates another individual or organization.
  • Is submitted as part of coordinated rating manipulation.
  • Contains intentionally false factual claims presented for malicious purposes.
  • Exploits children or vulnerable persons.
  • Violates another person's legally protected privacy rights.
  • Attempts to interfere with or compromise the Platform.

BBR reserves the right to moderate content in accordance with these Terms and our policies.

15. Personal Information in Reviews

Users should avoid posting unnecessary personal or sensitive information in reviews.

For example, you should generally not publish another person's:

  • Home address.
  • Private phone number.
  • Private email address.
  • Financial information.
  • Government identification information.
  • Account credentials.
  • Medical information.
  • Other sensitive information unrelated to the review.

Information that is already legitimately public as part of a business's public contact information may be treated differently from private personal information.

BBR may remove or redact personal information where appropriate.

16. Photos, Videos, and Other Media

Users and businesses may be able to upload photos, videos, documents, or other media.

You may upload media only when you have the legal right to do so.

You must not upload content that:

  • Infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • Violates privacy or publicity rights.
  • Contains unlawful material.
  • Contains malicious files.
  • Misrepresents a business or experience.
  • Is unrelated spam.
  • Has been manipulated for deceptive purposes.

BBR may moderate or remove uploaded media.

17. Ownership of Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and submit to BBR, subject to the rights you grant to us under these Terms.

By submitting content to BBR, you grant BBR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, format, adapt, distribute, communicate, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, promote, protect, and provide the Platform.

This license includes the ability to display your review, rating, business response, image, or other contribution on BBR and through services used to operate or promote BBR.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this license continues for content that reasonably needs to remain available after account closure, such as previously submitted reviews, unless BBR determines otherwise or applicable law requires removal.

18. BBR Intellectual Property

The BBR Platform, excluding content owned by users or third parties, may include proprietary:

  • Software.
  • Designs.
  • Logos.
  • Branding.
  • Graphics.
  • Interfaces.
  • Databases.
  • Website layouts.
  • Text.
  • Features.
  • Systems.
  • Search technology.
  • Rating systems.
  • Other materials.

These materials are owned by or licensed to BBR and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, reverse engineer, redistribute, or commercially exploit BBR's proprietary materials except where expressly permitted by us or applicable law.

20. Content Moderation

BBR may use a combination of automated systems, manual review, user reports, business reports, technical signals, and other processes to moderate content.

We may take actions including:

  • Approving content.
  • Rejecting content.
  • Removing content.
  • Temporarily hiding content.
  • Restricting visibility.
  • Adding warnings or labels.
  • Requesting additional information.
  • Restricting accounts.
  • Suspending accounts.
  • Terminating accounts.
  • Limiting business-profile features.
  • Investigating suspicious activity.

BBR is not obligated to publish every submission received.

Moderation decisions may take into account the context, available evidence, platform integrity, applicable policies, and legal obligations.

21. Reporting Content

Users and businesses may be provided tools to report reviews, business information, photos, responses, accounts, or other content.

Reports should be submitted in good faith.

You may not abuse reporting tools to:

  • Silence legitimate criticism.
  • Harass another user.
  • Manipulate ratings.
  • Disrupt competitors.
  • Submit knowingly false complaints.
  • Repeatedly report content without a reasonable basis.

Misuse of reporting systems may result in restrictions.

22. Fraudulent Claims and Impersonation

You may not falsely claim ownership, employment, authorization, or affiliation with a business.

You may not impersonate:

  • A business owner.
  • A business employee.
  • A customer.
  • Another user.
  • BBR personnel.
  • A government authority.
  • Another organization or individual.

BBR may suspend accounts, revoke business-profile access, and take other actions where impersonation or fraudulent claiming is suspected.

23. Services and Categories

Businesses may be categorized and associated with services to assist users with discovery and search.

Businesses or users may be permitted to suggest new services, categories, or similar information.

Suggested information may require moderation or approval before becoming publicly available.

BBR may:

  • Rename services or categories.
  • Correct spelling.
  • Standardize terminology.
  • Merge duplicates.
  • Reject inappropriate submissions.
  • Reclassify businesses.
  • Remove obsolete classifications.

Such changes may be made to improve consistency, search quality, platform organization, and usability.

24. Search Results and Rankings

BBR may organize or rank businesses, reviews, search results, categories, services, or other information using various factors.

These may include relevance, location, category, availability of information, review information, quality indicators, activity, user preferences, moderation signals, or other factors.

Placement within search results does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by BBR.

Where sponsored, promoted, paid, or advertising placements are offered, BBR may distinguish them as required by applicable law or platform policy.

25. Ratings and Scores

BBR may calculate ratings, scores, summaries, statistics, or other reputation indicators based on information available through the Platform.

Such calculations may change over time as:

  • New reviews are submitted.
  • Reviews are removed or moderated.
  • Rating methodologies change.
  • Fraud detection improves.
  • Business records are merged.
  • Additional information becomes available.

Ratings and scores represent platform-generated information and should not be interpreted as guarantees regarding a business.

26. No Endorsement of Listed Businesses

The inclusion of a business on BBR does not constitute an endorsement, certification, recommendation, or guarantee by BBR unless explicitly stated otherwise.

BBR does not guarantee:

  • The quality of a business's products or services.
  • That a business is properly licensed or insured.
  • That information supplied by a business is complete or accurate.
  • That a business will satisfy a particular customer's requirements.
  • That every review accurately represents every customer's experience.

Users are responsible for conducting any additional research they consider appropriate before entering into transactions.

27. Transactions With Businesses

BBR may help users discover or contact businesses, but unless expressly stated otherwise, BBR is not a party to transactions between users and listed businesses.

Any purchase, service agreement, appointment, contract, payment, refund, warranty, delivery, or other transaction is between the customer and the relevant business.

Disputes concerning such transactions should generally be resolved between the parties involved.

28. Third-Party Websites and Services

BBR may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, payment providers, maps, booking services, or other external services.

BBR does not control all third-party services and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, security, or terms.

Accessing third-party services is at your own discretion and may be subject to separate terms and policies.

37. Account Closure

Users may be able to close their accounts through account settings or by contacting BBR.

Closing an account does not necessarily require BBR to remove all previously submitted public content.

For example, reviews or business responses may remain where there is a legitimate reason to preserve them and where permitted by applicable law.

Personal information associated with closed accounts will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.

38. Feedback and Suggestions
